Trevarno Organic Day Cream Reviews

Review of Trevarno Organic Day Cream
By Louise M.

Packaging
Trevarno Organic Day Cream come in a smart pink frosted glass jar which is small enough to be slipped into a handbag or even carried in your hand luggage at an airport. The screw top lid means that it doesn’t leak and it isn’t fiddly to dispense the cream.

Application The texture of Trevarno Organic Day Cream is deliciously thick and creamy. It describes itself as a light daytime moisturizer, but it is far thicker than other ‘light’ products I have used which have more closely resembled a lotion. It feels very indulgent and nourishing when it goes onto the skin, but true to its promise is easily absorbed. If you have dry skin and like a thicker cream, but find that this blocks the pores, then I would certainly recommend giving this product a try. It has a beautiful geranium fragrance, and the combined effect of this with its texture means that it smells and feels like a much more expensive product than the actual price tag denotes.

Ingredients The Trevarno Organic day cream contains all kind of brilliant natural ingredients and is largely based around a variety of nourishing oils (sunflower, jojoba, sesame with carrot) and lavender flower water. All of the ingredients are certified organic, and furthermore it is the first company whose products meet the Organic Farmers and Growers exacting standards. In spite of the natural ingredients the products has a shelf life of 12 months, and 4 months once the pot has been opened (although I don’t imagine it would last that long if used every day). A final mention should go to its Cornish origins, which will please those who like to consider the air miles behind their beauty products, or who prefer to support UK businesses.

Results Trevarno Organic Day Cream did a great job at keeping the dry skin on my face and neck under control. It also seemed to form a light barrier against the inclement winter weather and stopped my skin from getting chapped by the Scottish wind. I have been extremely impressed with this cream and would certainly repurchase it and investigate other products in the Trevarno range.

Pros: It looks, smells and feel like a very expensive product – it represents excellent value for money
It is thick enough to be really nourishing without blocking pores
It provides a protective barrier which would be great for wintry weather or as a makeup base

Cons: The smell is very pleasant, but it does linger so may compete with any perfume you wear
